What Is a Stroke?
A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is suddenly interrupted or reduced, causing brain cells to begin dying within minutes. Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide, but with proper knowledge and prevention, many strokes can be avoided.
Types of Stroke
1. Ischemic Stroke (85% of cases)
Caused by a blockage in the arteries leading to the brain. Blood clots or fatty deposits narrow or block blood vessels, cutting off oxygen supply to brain tissue.
2. Hemorrhagic Stroke
Caused by a ruptured blood vessel in the brain. The leaked blood puts pressure on surrounding brain cells. Often linked to uncontrolled hypertension.
3. Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
A "mini-stroke" where blood flow to the brain is temporarily disrupted. A TIA is a serious warning sign that a major stroke may follow.
Warning Signs - Act FAST
- F - Face: Does one side of the face droop when smiling?
- A - Arms: Does one arm drift downward when both are raised?
- S - Speech: Is speech slurred or difficult to understand?
- T - Time: If any of these signs are present, call for emergency help immediately.
Risk Factors
- High blood pressure (the #1 risk factor)
- High cholesterol and atherosclerosis
- Diabetes and obesity
- Smoking, excessive alcohol, and physical inactivity
- Age over 55 and family history of stroke
Natural Prevention and Recovery Support
- Micro2 Cycle: The most important product for stroke prevention. Improves blood flow, prevents blood clots, removes arterial plaque, and lowers blood viscosity. For stroke recovery, helps restore circulation to damaged brain areas.
- CeleBrain: Ginkgo Biloba-based - specifically improves blood flow to the brain, protects brain cells from oxidative damage, and supports cognitive recovery after stroke.
- PressureFree Tea: Naturally reduces high blood pressure - the single most important modifiable risk factor for stroke.
- Pure & Broken: Improves coronary artery circulation, prevents atherosclerosis, and provides anti-inflammatory support for recovery.
